...Sid introduced Keith to John Lydon and they hit it off instantly. They both hated the bands they were in (the Clash being unnamed, even, at this time) and ultimately founded what is still the band that smashed the rules and kicked down the door for later groups. PiL is as fresh today as it ever was and still globally copied though no one has ever managed to copy Keith's style convincingly. Keith, with a Buddah-like silence and concentration on the here-and-now, remains faithful to the credo he set out with the PiL "manifesto." He looks untouched by time and the amazing life he's lead so far. He despises using his past and is very close-mouthed avoideding all the press's attempts to lure him into the name-calling, refusing to be drawn into the muck. Only Keith's thousand-yard-stare belies his legendary profile; with this new EP and follow-up LP he prefers to focus on varied and interesting current projects, like MurderGlobal. Watch out, Keith's back and that innocent look belies the fact he's got his bases covered.
